Seeking Candidates

Licking County Library is looking to fill an open position on the Board of Trustees. This vacancy arises due to the resignation of board member, Barry Riley, who has served as trustee since 2008. The selected individual will serve the remaining term until August 31, 2024.

The board comprises seven members and is primarily responsible for approving Library policies, setting the budget, hiring a director and fiscal officer and advocating for the Library. Library board meetings are held monthly, usually 4pm, on the third Wednesdays at the Downtown Newark location, 101 West Main Street, Newark. Trustees represent the community-at-large and their varied library interests.
